Polo Tecnologico de la Cosmesi brings together 60 regional members in the Italian subcontracting industry.

On November 8, in Crema, Polo Tecnologico de la Cosmesi, an association chaired by Matteo Moretti, also CEO of the Lumson company, organized the third edition of its Innovation Day. Polo Tecnologico de la Cosmesi brings together 60 regional members operating in the Italian subcontracting industry dedicated to cosmetics, but also machinery and services. More than 400 people walk the aisles of the one-day event to visit the stands of the 35 exhibitors and to attend half a dozen conferences offering a particularly rich program, in the presence of Italian and foreign visitors. It was a very rich morning with, in particular, a detailed presentation from the European House-Ambrosetti company on the structure of the Italian cosmetics industry and its development, particularly in the north of Italy. Matteo Moretti, president of the Polo Tecnologico de la Cosmesi, considers that this timely study of the cosmetics industry is particularly important. A good basis to start to identify the evolution and needs of the sector—and to engage in a training program for those who want to work in it. A training program that will become reality with the creation in Crema of a professional school in synergy with the Polo. Also of note was the presentation of Gerald Martines (In-Signes company), on the topic of packaging innovation followed by a roundtable bringing together several high-profile personalities from the Beauty sector, including Philippe de Brugière, innovation director (L’Occitane) and Thierry de Baschmakoff, designer. Several speakers took the floor in the afternoon, followed by a second roundtable, this time focusing on innovation in terms of formulas, with the presence of Leila Rochet-Podevin (Cosmetics Inspiration & Creation Company), Luisa Oliva, International Consultant in cosmetics and formulation expert, Aimara Coupet (Belle Radience company) and Vanessa Desoeuvre (Yves Rocher). Also present were Alessandro Mattinzoli, regional counselor for Economic Development, and Francesco Buzzella, president of the Cremona Industrial Association, and several representatives of the institutions. According to Matteo Moretti, “This third edition of the Innovation Day confirms that the format chosen is the right one. This was proven both by the number of companies that registered and by the interest this meeting generated abroad. A recognition we are already very proud of, but which also encourages us to improve ourselves further.”
